Twice-
exceptional.
Twice-exceptional learners demonstrate advanced abilities alongside learning, attention, or emotional challenges.
What it can look like
- Gifted
- Uneven profile
- Bored and struggling
- Underachieving
- Frustration
- Hidden needs
A twice-exceptional (2e) student is advanced in some areas and struggling in others, and each side can hide the other. Strong reasoning may cover a reading or writing disability until the workload grows; a learning or attention problem may keep a gifted student from ever looking gifted on paper. The result is often a bright child who is bored, frustrated and underachieving, whose school sees only half the picture.
How we help
Getting started
Start with a phone consultation. A comprehensive evaluation maps the strengths and the challenges together, so the recommendations cover both: enrichment where it is warranted and support where it is needed.
Rates vary based on the level of involvement. Contact us for a phone consultation.
