Autism Spectrum
Disorder.
We provide targeted evaluations for autism spectrum disorders, both as part of more comprehensive evaluations and as stand-alone evaluations. Adult evaluations often focus on a specific diagnosis, such as autism, that may have been missed throughout childhood.
What it can look like
- Social communication
- Routines
- Sensory
- Special interests
- Masking
- A late diagnosis
Autism impacts how a person communicates, relates to others and handles change and sensory input. In children that can be trouble with back-and-forth conversation and play, a strong need for routine, intense interests, and big reactions to noise, textures or transitions. Many teens and adults, girls and women especially, have learned to mask these differences and come for an evaluation after years of exhaustion, anxiety or a sense of not fitting in.
How we help
Getting started
Start with a phone consultation. An autism evaluation often includes the ADOS-2 or MIGDAS-2, interviews and rating forms, and can stand on its own or be part of a comprehensive evaluation. We are a neurodiverse-affirming practice.
Rates vary based on the level of involvement. Contact us for a phone consultation.
