← What we assess for

Testing
Accommodations.

Extra time, a separate room or other adjustments on school tests, state exams, the SAT, ACT, GRE or licensing exams, and the documentation needed to get them.

What it can look like

  • Extended time
  • Breaks
  • A separate room
  • Directions read aloud
  • A computer for writing
  • 504 plans

Testing accommodations level the field for students whose disability affects how they take a test, not what they know: additional time, breaks, questions and directions read and reread, a calculator, a scribe, or a quiet room. Schools, the College Board, ACT and graduate and licensing boards each require current documentation, which means a comprehensive evaluation that names the diagnosis, shows how it affects test performance and explains why each accommodation is needed. Many families come to us when a request has been denied or when the paperwork from an earlier evaluation is out of date.

How we help

Getting started

Start with a phone consultation. Tell us which test or school you are applying to and when, since documentation deadlines often fall months ahead of the test date.

Fees

Rates vary based on the level of involvement. Contact us for a phone consultation.

Not sure where to start?

Talk it through with us first. Tell us a little about what’s going on and we’ll help you find the right next step.
