← What we assess for

Bullying.

A child who is being picked on, left out or targeted, or one who is doing the bullying.

What it can look like

  • Teasing
  • Exclusion
  • Online
  • Not wanting school
  • Changes in mood
  • Who to tell

Bullying can be physical, verbal, social (exclusion, rumors) or online, and children often don’t say it is happening. Signs include not wanting to go to school, lost or damaged belongings, changes in sleep or mood, and withdrawing from friends. Children with learning, attention or social differences are bullied more often, and sometimes bully others. An evaluation can show what makes a child vulnerable and what supports, at school and at home, will help.

Getting started
