Poor
Focus.
Trouble paying attention, staying on task or finishing what was started, at school, at work or at home.
What it can look like
- Daydreaming
- Unfinished work
- Zoning out
- Careless mistakes
- Losing track
- Mental fatigue
Poor focus can look like a child who drifts off in class, needs instructions repeated and takes all evening over homework, or an adult who rereads the same paragraph and loses the thread of meetings. Attention problems have many causes: ADHD, anxiety, a learning problem, poor sleep, or work that is too hard or too easy. An evaluation sorts out which is which.
How we help
Getting started
Start with a phone consultation. Tell us where and when the focus problems show up, and we will suggest an evaluation that fits. Attention testing looks at the ability to sustain attention, to inhibit automatic responses, and to plan, organize and shift flexibly between tasks.
Rates vary based on the level of involvement. Contact us for a phone consultation.
